Cam belt, Essex

Anyone know the best/cheapest place to get a cam belt changed in Essex? Or East London?
Had a quote of £400, hes a top mechanic but only works from home so hasnt the best tools.
Its for a 172.

It's a 5 hour job (less than 30 mins for a Saxo)

A "Timing Belt Kit" is needed - the parts are

R7701476675 Kit Distribution £123.59 (inc VAT)
R7700106271 Core Plug £7.26 (inc VAT)
R7700274026 Plug £3.20 (Inc VAT)

(Two seals are needed for the back of camshafts because
the originals have to be removed to get tool in) (?)

£134.05 total from the Renault dealer

Angelworks is good, but they're outside Cambridge - only an hour or so from most parts of Essex

That's £134 for parts and £68 per hour labour charges!!!

well worked out but it does include the aux belt aswell if you read closer! At the end of the day would you go to a garage thats done 1 or 2 and pay 50 quid less??

I had mine done at a renault garage, I know i should have shopped around but it wasnt that expensive cant remember exactly how much but well worth checking if you are on good terms with a dealer
