Pardon the stupid question, but how is it so much?
AFAI can see, it's just a case of slipping one belt off and putting another one in it's place, though I'm sure that's a slightly simplified view... LoL
it don't work like that whitevalver, u have to take off the water pump on older clios and all the other belts work off it too i.e power steering belt, fan belt so its not just a case of slipping one off then on. bit more complex than that i'm afraid
i did mine on friday. one of my collegues timed me - just over 4 and a half hours
the aux belt is the only awkward bit, i used a tank drill to make a hole so i could easily get to the aux tensioner. i rekon this saved me loads of time and knuckles! just welded the peice back in after. the only bit of that engine i don't like is the free floating (no keyway) crank sprocket
gsf do the belt kit for £100 incl. aux belt
my aux belt idler was rough, so i changed that £40 odd from reno, not bad considering i called them as soon as i found it and told 'em it was urgent and they delivered it an hour or so later!
the reno kit is manufactured by Gates
cut out the middle man i say, buy the Gates kit
by the way Gates are the best (in my opinon) i only fit them to everything
