Cam Belt??

Hi guys, I`v been in touch with a guy whos selling a Clio 172 on a 53 plate. milage 111k

Asked the normal questions about Cam belt, Dephaser, Service and clutch.

Cambelt changed at 73k Feb 2010

Service 111.000 Just done (Oil and Filter)
Clutch: Have looked through paperwork, no receipt, but sure it would have been done sometime at main dealer, book is fully stamped up until 98,857k

I`m no mechanic but would you say I`d need a cambelt change ASAP (if I brought the car)

Ot; It won't need a cambelt if its only three years old, unless its done 72k since 2010.

The cambelt should have been done with dephaser.

its considered bad practice to re-use the belt when doing the dephaser, so potentially its been changed last year.
