Cam cover breather gasket

Does anyone know where I can find a gasket apart from Renault ? Nearly died at the price today many thanks for any help with this matter

Doesn't have a gasket, use sealant

I had similar experience, 80 odd quid isn't it.

I just used silicone gasket stuff same as you use for the cam cover - some of the variations don't have gaskets.

do not use blue hylomar on anything that needs to seal oil in.

I throw the gaskets away and use black automotive grade silicon

I've always used it, friends use it on 500bhp evos.

No problems, ever

it never sets, and hot oil washes it away.....

The breather at the top gets f**k all oil to wash it away, gets a bit of vapour and that's about it.

Don't go mad with the sealant and it will be fine. [emoji3]

That should be fine mate, if not then you can buy it from Renault but it's more expensive.

I've done my cam cover with 5999 but we use it at work.
I've never put anything on my bolts tbh.

Seemed like the gasket was in two parts when I took the plate off last time - or have I looked at it wrong?

£15 from main dealer but it's a metal gasket so it's s**t. Any good silicone sealant from a motor factor is ok. I just in the process of doing mine as it is leaking oil vapour
