Oh also if its a 1.2 16v get the water pump done also! Itl be starting to leak.

Unless thats free labour then forget it. The kits can be got for that sort of price.

£80 belt chances includinglabour says ither they not going to do it or they don't know what there doing or there going not just chnage the belts and still don't know what there doing.

Thts what the book says fr normal use I'd never leave it more than 4years and 60k though.

You need the proper locking tools for the K4J too. Don't get it done by some money backstreet garage, they'll probably screw it up.

Free labour yes. A mate of my mrs step dad. He does services for me for 10 quid. Top man..

Well remember theres a big difference between changing the oil and the cambelt, and as i've said you need the proper locking tools to pin the cams and crank.

I know, they can be got elsewhere cheaper too I think. I payed £45 for mine from some online tools company, they're made by laser. You can get the 1*2FF aux tensioner tool too for £10.

I'm just saying that he needs them, far to many have been screwed up by using tipex marks.

Had a lot of messing about getting it sorted. There a funny car the clio's. I thought i could save a few dollar, how wrong was i.

This guy im using has done alot of work for me, only recently changed the cambelt and water pump on my gf's new beetle. Hes also done same stuff on my mums clio so I will happily be saving £££

if your in the notthingham area i would recomend either mgc servicing on lenton industrial estate or hillpower in swadlingcote appleby magna.

both have done work on my 172, rates are good. very experienced and know what there on with!!
