ok the belts are due on my ph1 172, here is my dillema. i have a complete air con delete set up from a cup lying in my hut which i want to get fitted, so the idea is to get this all done at the same time with the belts. but iv seen a set of catcams at a good price, so should i bite the bullet and buy them and get these fitted at the same time, or are cams a waste of time on these cars? car at the moment has a catback exhaust, itg maxogen and matched inlets engine wise. i would like more power tbh.

If you choose the right cams, and the right mapping, they're worthwhile.

We're recommending and fitting Catcam 438's now, and we have a good map to go with them

yeah those were the cams i was looking at, missed out on the set for sale on here but according to ktec can give 18bhp after being mapped.

that's roughly the possible gains. They're really very good. I've wanted to be able to use 421's with the stock ECU without compromise for a long time, and these fill that criteria being a very similar profile
