Well I'm fairly certain this hasn't been done on my car an it is now on around 55k

How much will I be looking at to get this done and does anyone know of a good place to get it done in the North West, Widnes, Runcorn, Warrington, St Helens, Frodsham areas?

150 - 200, any mech can do it, its not that hard to do, just time consuming..

Cheers buddy, about the price I was expecting. I know any mechanic can do it, but they're all planks round here. Last place I went for a service purely to get a stamp in the book, put way too much oil in. Step dad went the same place at the same time and they didn't bleed his cooling system.
I checked mine before I took it home as I don't really trust anyone on my car. Fortunately I did this, kicked off and they had the oil out and back in with the right amount 20 mins later.

I find the smaller garages tend to do a better job, as its there livelihood on the line. Hopefully someone on here lives near you and will reccommend a garage for you though...

Yeah I prefer smaller places, same with the bodyshop I use. Last one was small but fairly well established, few mechanics employed...monkeys obviously! Yeah, I'm hoping for a reccomendation.

no matter how much it costs get it dun about a week agen myn snapped on my mk2 ph1 1.2 and my engine is in a bad way valves bent maybe even piston damage dnt know how much its going to cost to repair untill friday

Mine should have cost £230 but I got it down to £200 with a bit of begging

Also, is it best for me to order the part from Renalut and give it to the mechanics/garage or just let them sort it? Bearing in mind they prob wont go through Renault for it?

Just get a aftermarket one but leave it 3 years/36k before a new one instead of waiting so long.Hope you get it done in time mate!
