CAMBELT ON 172CUP

Hi all i have a cup172 2003 with 38000 on the clock with the car being 5 years old should i change the cambelt with it only having 38000 on the clock thanks

If its got aircon for the lot inc parts in or around £500, thats with belts, tensioners etc etc.....
Without aircon, much cheaper i beleive..........

it does`nt have aircon so hopefully it works out abit cheaper cheers mate

Cheapest i found was Kenny Brown Engineering in Hillington, Glasgow. Maybe give them a call

DEFO get it done asap. I ended up paying £1600 for an engine rebuilt etc etc as i kept putting the service off!! I would hate anyone else to go through the hassle i did! get it done now

Read my posts again. Do you have a serious lack of familiarity with language/literature? Thinking about it you evidence this by using a word such as fud. I was not saying OMGZ go to birchdown. I am sure that there will be a small independent in the vast country that is Scotland that will not charge silly money for what is a cambelt change on a small French hatchback. Its not rocket science.

I very seriously doubt it you FUD!

I can almost guarantee that he will not be able to find anywhere thats willing to do the work for less than £500 up here. If he does he is a very lucky guy. End of. You shouting, i had it done for £280! isnt going to help anything. If he tries to get a price up here that matches that he will be waiting forever! Said it before and will say it again THINK REALISTICALLY !

Its only down 2 1/2 % its not going to make a great deal of difference tbh. As i said your going to struggle to find a garage that does it for less £500.
