cambelt

S

Ste 185

just after an opinoin for doing cambelt on ph2 172. which is easier taking engine out or leaving it in and messing round for 5-6 hrs

  LY 182
leave it in, completely pointless messing about with wiring looms, pas, ac and water lines etc it will take twice the time.
i've done a few now the hardest bit is taking the lower cover off but its completely doable
i cant remember what car it was now but i have in the past undone all the engine and gearbox mounts and floated the whole lot on an engine crane to make access a bit easier but no need on the clio

You are having a laugh? take the engine out? foook that. there less than a mornings work if you have done a few ( like 3-4 hours)!! There not that bad, the worse bit is taking aux belt on and off on a ff!
