had cambelt done a 1000 miles ago idles funnny and sometimes wen it start it idles low and cut out should have went ro a renault specalist but didnt relise these were a problem till i joined the forum ... would anybody on here with the locking tool be able to check im in the cambridgeshire area pm a price and if anybody can help many thanks

Can you not take it back to where the cambelt was done?

if they dnt have the correct timing tool which i should ask thn there gunna do it the same again i should think

classic symptom of timing out. starts & cuts out from cold. lumpy idle etc. But yes.....find somebody with locking tools to set it up.

Mike from MWM is only down in staines and Im sure would be happy to correct the timing for you without it costing you a fortune.

Did they use a genuine belt and tensioners do you know?
