cambelts just been done



  audi a6 3.0tdi
as above i'm so happy coz i was starting to worry about it. the cars only on 52000 but with it being over 5 years i needed to get it done. i can drive with out worrying now i'm so happy :)

470 including vat belt was done as well. renault wanted £700. the garage used genuine renault parts anyway :)

some people have said they have had it done cheaper but i trust the garage and was willing to pay extra to know it was done right.

I don't know, but if it does break the cambelt has to be done again.

never mind i'll just have to see how it goes nothing i can do now. nobody else has mentioned this before so i didn't know it needed doing.

Hmm odd, well all the garages i asked (about 4) all asked if i wanted a water pump as well,.

renault never mentioned it either. there is nothing i can do now so i'll just have to hope for the best.

It will probably be fine, it's just cos there so cheap it's a might as well do it thing.

lets hope it is fine. for some stupid reason it feels quicker now. probably coz i haven't driven it for about six hours lol
 
  Not got a car
the new belt will put alot of stress on the old pump. I dont think they whine its more of a knock. Well was a knock on my astra.

Ok is it just alot easier to get to while the cambelt is being done?
