Camcorder - I Know Nothing!

I am looking to get a camcorder.

This is what i need it to be able to do:-

• Very Compact (used for skiing)
• Take Good Photos (i.e 8MP or greater)
• Work in Below Zero Conditions
• Price between £250 --> £400
• Reasonable optical zoon (x15 or greater)

What i'm not bothered about:-

• Whether it has Flash Memory or A inbuilt hard drive
• Brand (as long as not dodge jap knock-off)
• Not fussed if it records in high definition or not.

As said i kind of know what i want from the camera but i have no knowledge on the market at all,hopefully some one will.

found this, a little more expensive but with some good shopping i'm sure i can find it cheaper.
