Camcorder or cctv ?

  1.6 Astra ... R.I.P. 182
ok i have a problem that im not getting into on here :quiet:

what i need is some sort of camera set up to record my cars outside my house.
they get parked on the road. the camera would ideally have to be positioned outside so in the elements and preferably wireless. i also dont wont to spend to much ...

now where do i go ? for what ? and for how much ??

Cheers, Ross.

(ps - sorry if this needs to be moved)
(oh and disclaimer - i will not carry out illegal activity after i capture someone on video)

I've got them outside my house. They were from Argos and are pretty inconspicuous.

Take note though, we had footage of some little scrote visibly pulling out a knife and running it all the way down the side of our car and the police still did f**k all with it.

Also caught some amusing footage once. I live on a hill and one night all you could hear on the tape was a low rumbling noise and every so often a nasty clang. Soem piss heads had only gone and fucked a bowling ball down the hill and it was pinging off cars left right and centre!

I would STRONGLY recommend you place a sign in your door/window too saying you have CCTV too if/when you put it up, as to not have someone could complain. Also I checked with the local boys in blue and one of the local bobbies told me as long as it isn't infringing someone elses privacy, (i.e. pointing into your next door neighbours nice young 18 year old bints bedroom windows *cough* ;) pmsl) You'll be ok.

Low level light ones are better if you don't park near a street lamp and/or you've got limited lighting,
I've got a standard colour for day, and the other is an auto switchable colour/IR night vision cam.
I use a IR halogen just to highlight extra shadow, (sometimes people ducking down at the back you don't see) pain in the ass though with cats as there's bloody loads round where I live! keep seeting the light off!!! grrrrrr lol

If you catch whoever you want to see then don't hesitate to boot them up and bring them to my place for a kicking. ;)
