Camera advice for me folks help!

I am after a point and shoot camera , i am not after a DSLR as i want the mrs to be able to use it no probs, i am thinking of this 12.1 meg pix canon G9 model, point us in the right direction because i am useless with camera tech.

Would be good, one of the best p&s's out there. Could be a little chunky though, been using my parents Ixus 75 recenlty which has some cool features like Time Lapse, maybe check some of the higher Ixus models...
