campus sport torque

Hate to say it but, sell it and get something with a bigger engine. There is no other simple way.

Ignore that sorry, basically what bmh.01 said, get a bigger engined car, if you can't at the moment then just wait...

Indeed, I would say the 1.5dci 65 is a better option than the 1.2... I'm not sure it's as fast off the line.... Should I say slower?? but edde has said he's got 13seconds to 60 in his before... Which is the book time for the 1.2 and 2 seconds faster than the book time of 15seconds for the dci65.

They're better for tuning money wise too, an intercooler and remap (£700ish) will see 100bhp. Which will see off 1.4s in acceleration, not top speed though.

But to answer your question more directly. The title is pretty funny :rasp: Nothing you can do to a 1.2 to make it more torquey. You can give it more power, but to use it you'll still have to rev the tits off it.

Could try de-cat maybe for cheap and easy way but dont think it'll make a massive difference.

lol grate i bought a slow car

Not much you can expect from a 1.2 in fairness.

Torque comes with displacement (turbos and superchargers can do it too), something a 1.2 clio doesn't have.

Just enjoy the car as it is. Don't spend too much on it, you'll get more on resale if it isn't modified.

But if you do modify it, i.e. induction kits, exhausts, a piece of advise from me would be to keep the originals, and not to cut the bumper for an exhaust;)

The 1.2 16v is pretty good for a 1.2 tbh, you can't expect too much from it in the end. Its one of the better ones i've driven, got to keep the revs up though.

not much you can really do for more torque, you will have the new style engine with a couple of nissan bits on it with the revised induction system, throttle body and ECU decat and exhaust will help a bit but not much, not worth modding a 1.2 engine wise for power, noise its worth it but not power. keep the revs between 4,500rpm and 6,250rpm and theres not much more u can do
