cams question?

ive just been looking on the k tec website and had a quick brouse at the cams. it says that the cams are used without the vvt. is this a standard thing to lose the vvt when camming or can you buy cams to use with the vvt as well. also what affect does losing the vvt have if you do go down that route? is this the reason for the poor idle?
oh and ive also been told that you only need to change the inlet cam too. is this b***cks?

I can see why someone might say that you only need to swap the inlet cam

Since the 420 is group N 'standard' cams and the preferred 428 uses the same exhaust cam as the 420 it wouldn't be unreasonable to say that you only need to swap the inlet cam. Whether that's really the case or not is another matter.
