Cams, without extra noise?

Is it possible to install slightly wilder cams, without having to add a loud air box & exhaust?

I'm interested in doing this to my VTS (without altering much else really).

So, a panel filter... cams... remap. Maybe a flowed head.


I'm not after massive gains... I just want that little extra if you know what I mean.

Yes thats prefectly alright...

all the exhaust and air filter do is give you a little more power (better breathing for the engine)

I ran my 106 gti with cat cam 708's just standard for a while before i could afford remap etcetc and it was fine but even just on a standard car the cams make it more noisey

I was thinking of Kent 51's.

What was power like afterwards, and what about economy?

kents and pipers are standard cams just reground, they are commonly ticky on clios. Cat cams are prob the way forward. Best speak to matt at qep, hes the man on saxo's

No, you're not allowed to do this. It breaks all the rules of the hotting up community. You're supposed to spend lots of money doing things that tell people you've spent lots of money, even if they don't actually do anything. Not spend money on hidden internal changes that actually work but that no-one knows about unless you tell them.
