Cams

If a 2.0 willy lump had 265 degree cams and another had 290 degree cams, what would the difference in performance, bhp/torque would be roughly - obviously with re-map etc any help appreciated :)

BenR or Stan* are the techies for this best PM then I think it depends though on other factros cams arn't just detailed from degrees its lift angles etc if you search for posts by BenR he posted somehting about this reciently.

Peak power and torque will typically be shifted up the rpm range with higher duration. Actual performance will be dependent primarily on open/close points, lift@tdc, and peak lift.

With 290deg duration on stock managment you *may* encounter idle issues due to ECU running a MAP sensor. Likely it would be ok, ive used 280degs on a few with stock managment and theyve been fine.
