can any1 confirm if these are genuine or aftermarket please?

no branding just the colour on the spring

and this 1 is branded kyb and looks newer/in better condtion than the 1 on the opposite side

any help would be greatly apprieated

The red and white tabs are cup packed springs as far as I'm aware. Certainly what mine looked like.

so as i thought then cheers, would having to different springs adversly affect handling or not?

Most probably.. Different spring rates = different handling.

when cornering hard the back does feel as if its sliding around the corner as the front feels planted the back feels ' light ' ?

That's not entirely unusual, all the weight is at the front of the car and they are prone to oversteer of the lift off variety by FWD standards.

ok cheers for the info ' wick ' just had the car a few month not had a proper chance to really learn the car yet as the weather has been that poor and roads have just turned black again a week ago
