Basically, my girlfriend is buying a 1.2 clio, a billabong one, she says...

anyways, the gear stick seems to have a lot of play, kind of wobbles in your hand? it doesnt make any wierd noises or anything, just wondering if this is normal?

2003/03 , and has 30k miles on it, incase that helps...

so yeh, seemed smart to ask on a clio forum.

cheers!

alot of clios do it. If you want to get rid of it you need to tighten the bushes i think

Mine wobbles when in gear, any gear, it's always done it. 3 years and about 23k miles later it's been 100% fine. I wouldn't worry about it.

mainly because they don't use cables to change gear its a metal rod instead, and the engine mounts in clios are very soft... wouldn't worry about it...

So long as it don't move to much don't worry.

A new dogbone mount is all it usualy needs if it is much movement there only cheap and easy to chnage.
