Can anyone identify this connector please.

Can someone help identify this connector and what it is responsible for please ? Noticed it was unplugged this morning and was wondering if it may have been responsible for a few problems i have been having recently. Its right down towards the bottom of the engine. Tried searching but without knowing, its a bit difficult to find.

I'm definitely no mechanic, but I'm going to guess Oil level sensor!

(Probably wrong but worth a shot - don't take my word for it either! )
