Can I back up my iPhone in two locations?

Just got a new MacBook Pro and wanted to fiddle about with putting some new bits on my iPhone but obviously its giving me the old "phone is synced with another computer" bullshit.
However, I wonder.... Is there anyway I can allow both my computers to have access to my iPhone?
Any ideas all?

Can't you just plug it in, right click on the iPhone under devices and select backup?
