Can i get POINTS!

I have all my rear windows tinted and this is legal, can i do the front windows?

Will this give me points on my licence?
I havent got my full U.K licence yet, only passed 3/4 months ago.

i think its ok to have back windows totally blacked out as vans etc dont have any and are sometimes blacked out or whatever.

Front windows there's a legal limit, can't remember what it is, under 40% I think?

oh ok, i have all the rear windows limo black i was going to do the front the same or around 80%

You can but only with a if a certain percentage of light is transmitted through the tinted glass, so the lower the number, the darker the film allowed. Generally films are sold as 5%(limo), 20%(dark), 35%(medium), 50%(light) Email these guys, they'll be able to explain the legisation http://www.ccswindscreens.co.uk/pages/window_tinting.html

I think you can do your front side, i.e. your driver and passenger window, but not limo black, just a very slight tint, but you cannot tint your windscreen.

Oh and you'd get a fine and a rectification notice. Make sure you declare any modifications to your insurance company.

Accident + undeclared mods = You in big s**t + fine + points + ban etc.

rear 3 windows whatever you want... paint them in blackboard paint if you want

front 2 side windows need to allow 70% light through
windscreen as to allow 75% of light through

you could get away with 50% on your front 2 bit isn't worth doing imo...

ive had a 30 quid fine for my front side windows as i had 25% put on them
