can I use a renault stick with my sony

  Clio172cup, Capri 3.9 V8

Earlier Today I purchased a New Stereo for my Clio 172 cup (2003 model).

its a sony CDX2200 (plays MP3s) and was able to fit it in minutes. However the Renault radio stick is not working (this is because there was no fitament to put the control wires into).

Does anybody sell an adapter for this or has an alternative way of getting the control stick working.

Many Thanks

Lushman.

its not so simple....

the Sony S2200 has the connection on the back, but you may find when you wire it all up, it doesnt work properly, like volume up might actually be skip a track, and volume down might be volume up etc

the only models affected by this problem is the S2000 and S2200

this is because the majority of them in this country have been sourced from euro sony suppliers, and not the UK sony source, they look the same and are all in English, but something internal is ever so slightly different which means the steerin control adapters dont work properly

its just luck as to whether yours will work or will be all weird

HAVE A LOOK AT AUTOLEADS ON THE NET, ALSO SOLD AT HALFORDS ,THESE WILL ENABLE YOU TO USE THE ORIGINAL STALK CONTROL.
