Can serviced, no/very little oil in it??

cold?i always though the car should be warm before checked, as thats the level it will be at when being driven?

Cold, if the car's warm it may look ok, but when it's cold it won't have enough in! as above cold on level ground

It's fine, me being paranoid, car says it's full on the dash
Don't test it when it's warm/just been driven as the oil is spread around the engine and not all drained back into the sump where the dip stick is.

^^^^correct that man,also never check the level from the dipstick when u 1st pull it out,always pull it out,wipe it off and check again

thanks for the corrections not sure where i got warm from! although i think i may be getting confused with checking and changing oil!
