Can someone identify this part please?

I appear to have snapped this off its plastic mount when changing my seat over.

The wiring is part of the bundle running to the pre-tensioner and this switch was located near the handbrake

Can someone tell me what it is / what it does?

Excellent. Now I just need to find the rest of it, travel back in time to before I broke it, then not start this thread!
