cannot find fault with misfireing 2002 1.4 clio

hi all, really need help with my missfiring clio, started with a severe missfire (non driveable )then would cut out after about 30seconds after starting, the recounter has started to rev the wrong way( form 1-0), so got in a mechanic who said it the crank sensor, so changed that, but still the same, got advised that it could be the ECU, so had brought a new ecu kit, ie ecu , immobiliser, ignition barrel sensor and new key, had all that fitted. but the prob is now that it still misfires, not as bad but is still there, please please, can anyone help, do not know what to do next.

Have you had it plugged into a diagnostics machine? This should narrow down the missfire somewhat.

It could be throttle body, MAP sensor, air leak etc....

hi matt, yes have had two guys hook it up to there diagnostic machine, but on both occations nothing came up, been told its like trying to find a needle in a haystack, which doesnt help matters much, im hopeing that its not the throttle bodys as this will run into $1000s, i live in australia so parts are extremley expensive, so trying to narrow it down, but thanks for the advice, will check it out.

It could well be an electrical issue then if no faults are being found?

What are they reading it with? If they are just reading under OBD does not always detect missfires.

Get a proper can renault pc to read the faults forget any other garage stuff most of the time it doens't work
