Ok

i got my iphone recieving my email (hotmail) it works fine...

HOWEVER it retrieves my inbox which has over 2k mail in it, even though i have read them on the hotmail site, it brings them up as unread on the phone, is there a way to mark all read?? its doing my head in and i dont wanna go through 2k mail lol

On hotmail on your PC make a folder called old or archive or summat and transfer them all in there using your inbox for new messages

Gmail does the same. If I read a message on the gmail webpage, it then shows as read on the iPhone, too. Vice versa is also true. This makes perfect sense to me.

Hotmail is rubbish.

Thats the actual reason.

Hotmail on the iphone is crap (POP3) unless you use Mbox mail.

Fin.

Gmail uses IMAP (Or Exchange if you are me) Which is way way better.
