Can't lock car..help needed...

So in this horrible rain the Clio decided to have a long drawn out beep at me when i opened her. When i got to my rents it just wont lock...press the fob and the doors click but the imboliser light stays on red and it lets out a long beep...which doesn't stop until i press the fob to unlock?

Any ideas?

Is it the fob or water in some where?

Normally suggests that the door is not closed right iirc, have you opened all the doors and closed them again, (including boot and bonnet ?)

does it lock if you start it up and press the interior lock button?


If you're stuck for tonight open the passenger door, lock the internal through the button and lock the door with the key,
