Cant Open the Back doors of the Clio

I did place this thread in the other section of the forum , but i think I may get responce from this section. Anyway, aS Title Says Have a V Reg Clio. 1.4 RT. About 6 months ago the back passenger door would not open. Got permantly locked when someone tryed to open the back door at the same time as I pressed the Button next to the gear stick to open all doors. Then same thing again happenes on other back door Today. I have took the door card off one door. Tried everything from yanking the rods that connect to the door pin and connect to the Door lever and no success.
I did do the other door and Where as before the door pin would seem to move a tiny way but not right to the top. After lots of playing about with it I think both go up to the right postion. But.....Still dont Open.
Could It be Child Locks that Are stuck on, and if so how would you release them if yoiu cannot get the door open

I had the exact same problem on my 5 door, even if the child locks were enabled (there is a lever on the door catch, but the door has to be open) you should still be able to open from outside. You need to take your inside door card off and spray the mecahinism with spray grease, then while your doing it press the unlock/lock button on your key several times unitil it goes. If the pin is juddering but not going up the mechanism has seazed and needs freeing.

I took them off today. they look bust as there was spring pins on the just falling off. Have to get to the break yard next week. Any idea how much the parts would cost new?

I think a new lock mechanism from renault was around 40-50 quid, I have the exact same problem on one rear door.

I phone a Renault Parts Dealer Today. And £80 inc VAT for each one. Ouch. Ive tried Salvage Places who say £25 each but they dont have any in. Breakers Yards Dont seem to have them in either. Found a breaks yard on the net that says £35 each + Vat + postage of £8. Blimey Might keep checking ebay for the next 6 months haha
