Car blower not working.....please help!!!

Hi everyone, any help would be much appreciated, my 2004 clios fan blower into the car isnt working to demist the windscreen any ideas what this could be or how much to fix at a CHEAP garage? or is this something i can easily fix at home??

So you cant hear the fans blowing at all? nothing happening?

Or you have fans but no hot air?

What car is it and does it have climate control or manual with 3 dials?

it it a 2004 clio dynamique i thought it did have climate control but i has 3 dials!, if i turn the switch to turn air blower on it doesnt do anything. Have looked at fuses but they all seem to be fine (not that i really know what im looking for!) :S the guy i bought it from said that it was working intermittently. Now not at all

If you look on the outside of the car where the wipers are there is a plastic cover on the drivers side. If you lift the bonnet up for more access you will see (im going from memory here) one plastic screw that is lifted up with a flat heat screwdriver, then I think theres a long plastic clip which you lift up to remove the whole cover, there you will see where the heater box is.

If you do a search there will be some more information, I think you might just need a working second hand unit.

OK brilliant will have a look, have spoken to a friend that knows a bit about cars and he seemed to think that the whole dash may need to come off?! is this true? thanks for your help!

No I think it just comes out through the access hole, see this link, if you search through threads you will find your answer for sure.

Think its unclip plug, 2 bolts and lift out carefully (avoiding wires etc)
