car breakdown

Hi there I have a 04 182 & woz driving down motorway got caught in heavy traffic car overheated lost water Will
not start now breakdown mechanic said probably head gasket gone any help

Very unusual to have the head gasket go on these engines but you never know. Hopefully someone will come along with a more helpful answer.

Woz u? Most likely the Rad has split somewhere, has it leaked out or did you blast white smoke out the back?

You will need a compression test most likely to check the condition of the engine, doesnt sound good if it refuses to start though.

The coolant may give you some idea e.g. if you can smell petrol etc, compression test is the starting place though.

How hot did you let it get before switching it off?

Cheers m8 when I tried 2 start it felt it woz a flat battery coz hazard lights on 4 long time
