Car Buying Advice

Since writing my car off, i have had my eye open for a new car... anyway - i have found one i like, however after E-Mailing the seller, i'm a little confused!

Here is the E-Mail i have had back from him...

Hi, yes it would be cash only!

it has never been in a bump - or had any paint for that matter, so is hpi clear.

we do owe on the finance but that will be cleared once a deposit has been secured, we dont want to pay it off before selling as it is interest free finance!

The bit that has worried me is that they owe finance on it - how does this work?

You pay the balance to the finance company and give them the remaining 37p.
Or they take a loan out pay off the finance and you pay them cash for the car.

No other sensible ways round it.
