Car didnt start this morning!

Hi,

Drove and parked my car last night and all was fine, however wen to get into it this morning and nothing!

Turned the key and it disnt even try and start. lights came on, speedo went upto 80 then negative! and the was a faint ticking noise from the bonnet.... it is this just a dead battery? could I just jump start it and it will be fine?

just tried charging the battery over night and nothing. Think it could be TDC as everyone is saying on here, but dont want a temporary solution! when I turn the key twice I get the Stop, Service, Immobaliser, ABS and handbrake stay on perminantly. Car ticks but doesnt start. but it does start with a bump start.... could it be Alternator?

Try jump leads if that works then get a new battery.

Does it turn over? My 172 still did even when the TDC was fecked.

I'd try removing the TDC sensor and giving it a clean. If it solves the problem even if it's temporary at least you'll know what the issue is.

turns out it was battery!
