Car doesnt lock

When i press the lock button on my car, the left door doesnt lock and you can open it but the boot and right door is locked, does anyone have a clue, the only way to lock it is to put the key into the keyhole on the door and turn it

I had this happen to me for a bit, the passenger door wouldn't lock, had to use the key instead. Was going to get someone to take a look for me but seems to be working now. I know that doesn't exactly help you, but would be curious to know incase it happens again.
