Car eating petrol

my friend has a clio mk2 and only gets 23 mile to a 10a and my car seems to do more miles on less money what could be the problem with the car does any1 know???

Could be a few things.... Did it pass the emissions test recently on an MOT? What engine size is it? Is he planting his foot costantly rather than changing gear, is he driving smoothly or in a way that would cause more fuel to be used? When was the car last serviced?

What's that work out in mpg?

Basic maths: £4.50/gallon(ish), so it's 2 and-a-bit gallons, devide the 23 by two... 11.5mpg...

Its happening to me aswell lol, im getting proper s**t mpg for some reason i do rag it but still.
