car going to be fixed

write my car is going to be fixed as the guy that hit me and drove of has finally admited it was his fault.
my question is they said if they cant repair my wheel they will just replace it but can i ask for the bust back or do they have to keep it

I think it will depend on who does the repair work if its a specialist maybe not but if they are just approved by your insurance then youve ever chance of getting it back imo
