Car lighter socket

My car socket thing doesn't work unless whatever I put in there (iPhone charger) is at a certain angle.

Is there a way to replace the whole thing? Or any suggestions on how to get it to work properly?

I had exactly the same problem with mine. Fixed with a piece of tin foil folded up and dropped into the socket. I think over time the metal connector at the bottom wears out. Mine now works perfectly.

Have the same issue. Have to fiddle around before I get a decent connection. Then I go over a bump and it'll lose connection again!
Ron's method sounds an idea.

Just replace it, they're quite cheap and easy to do
