Car locked up !

I Disconnected the negative on the battery to install my amp and when i reconnected it the clutch,ignition and steering wheel has all locked? when i try to start the car it wont let me move any of them and the key doesnt move in the ignition?

i know this will be something simple any advice?

I had a similar problem one morning trying to start my car and the key would go in but just wouldn't turn at all, it took me about five mins to get it to start.....i kept takin the key out and putting it back it and it worked eventually. I put it down to the steering lock getting jammed or something but it hasnt happened again since.
