Car Power Supply

As per usual am in need of some assistance!

Going on a little road trip with some lady friends and to keep them happy (in the back), want to plug my laptop into my cars power supply. Looked into getting an adapter to plus the thing into the cars cigarette lighter but will cost too much £. Would prefer to get one of those adapters whereby you can use a standard 3 pin plug and plug anything into a regular socket which is then plugged into the cigarette lighter. Ive seen them before but cant remember for the life of me where they came from!? Please help as otherwise ill have 3 whining woman in the back for a long long journey!

Seems a bit pointless getting an inverter for a laptop because I bet the power lead just converts it straight back to 12v!

sorta, some laptops are more than 12v some are less.. but I know what your getting at. Its probably best to use a regulated voltage with equipment like laptops anyway.
