Car pulling to right under acceleration

  172 & RSi
As title.. My car has started to pull to the right under acceleration. Its more noticable in the lower gears and I know its torque steer, but what is causing it?

Is it something to do with the suspension or something?

And also does anyone know if its an expensive job to get it fixed?

Cheers for your help,
Mossy

Check tyres pressures and wear in ball joint etc.

Its just the way it is with driveshaft bending etc but realy a 1.6 won't suffer it much.

Would getting my tracking and wheel balancing done help?

Also would fitting a strut brace help at all?

Its suffering from it quite badly, or maybe its just me but its annoying lol

Cheers

Yep get the tracking checked also check for play in the suspensionnand broken bits etc.

The stock car doens't suffer from it the 172 does abit but that ~70% more power than you have so more understandable. Therefore you don't need any other bits strut brace and it woulnd't help anyway.

Cheers Edde, you're a God. I know Im asking loads of questions but have you no idea roughly what it could be. I want to get it fixed and Im worried about the cost lol.

Unfortunatly unless you know what broken cannot even guess a cost.

£40 or so for the tracking to be done best pick a place who know what there doing (often a back street garage knows more about how to set cars up than a delaership with a few K worth of setup tools and jigs etc)

My guess is tyres pressure or worn ball joint etc.

It seems to put quite a lot in the lower gears though, il check the tyre pressures and get tracking and balancing done, hopefully will solve it, I'll see how I go on.

Cheers edde
