I SAW YOUR ADVERT ON A CAR FOR SALE WHICH I AM INTERESTED TO
BUY.I AM A BUSSINESS MAN BASED IN BELGIUM IN THE EUROPE,BUT I DO COME TO UK OFTEN.

I WILL BE HAPPY IF I CAN PURCHASE THIS CAR AS I HAVE BEEN LONGING FOR THIS
PARTICULAR MODEL.THESE ARE MY TERMS OF TRANSACTION;]

1 I AM OKAY WITH THE STATED PRICE .. £4350
2 I WILL BE PAYING WITH A CHEQUE
3 I WILL PAY IN EXCESS

NAME GIVEN WILL BE ON THE CHEQUE AND IT WILL BE SENT TO THE ADDRESS GIVEN
SO THAT YOU CAN CLEAR FUNDS AND SEND THE BALANCE TO MY AGENT FOR PICK
UP.THE PHONE NUMBER PHONE NUMBER WILL BE FOR TIME TO TIME CONTACT.IF YOU ARE OKAY WITH MY

I dont get this sometimes. Surely if you went ahead with something like this youd let the cheque clear first before releasing the car? If the cheque clears and you have your money(in your hand) whats the problem? If it dont clear and its a scam you still have your car.

its not money laundering, its just a scam, basically they pay by cheque, they then keep hassling you to send the goods or the over paid cash, you give the cheque the usual 4 days clearing thinking your ok, the cheques can take anything upto 3-4 weeks to be found to be dodgy, by this time your money/ and or your car has gone

So even if it does clear and you get your money the bank can still come and take the money back off you because its dodgy money or transaction?

I get loads of these emails. I always write back and say sure but give them a fake name / address just to waste his postage costs. Ask him to send it via DHL to make it expensive. u

Banks can claim money back for forged cheques/bankers drafts upto about 28 days later.I looked into it when i was selling my cupra and got the same email,the money clears after 4/5 days you pay them the excess then the bank finds out there forged and takes all the money back
