car still runs like crap... help..

yup.. after the car had its service and a new coilpack, leads and crank sensor its still glitching and misfiring now and then...

i have a backbox and i know how smooth it use to sound like when i accel.. when i do it now its like its choking.. best way to describe it is when you have a chest cough it sounds like that... like theres flem in the engine or something..

when its stationary with the engine on, it sounds like its spitting every few seconds... really doing my head in now and wanting to sell it argh!

its not the lamber sensor ive asked... but before the problem was worse!
when i had the new coils and stuf put in i took it for a run up the road and it was more fecked.. took it back to the garage.. they played with a bunch of wire and every time there is hard contact with these wires (behind the engine and plugs into the coilpack) it makes the car stall...it was wrapped in thermo tape which is basically black tape.. when he took it all off it diagnosed it abit.. but now its in its current state as i said above... anyone know what might it be and how can i possibley fix it??

IF you get w mirror down the back there is a little wheel type setup in the housing with holes in there, you have to get a pick and turn them to unthread it! then remove it, its a fiddle, may take you an hour! under there i would not be suprised if it hasnt rubbed through the insulation on a wire fella!

That metal cover thats in the pick, it has a habit of rubbing through the insulation on the wires underneath! this causes them to earth out and bring warning lights on make the car run like s**t! you need to get that cover off and have a look!

  Shed.
same thing happened to mine. though for some reason i found the top of my metal box half way down the back of the engine. it ment to be an arsehole to remove.

So remove the top half of that black box, look for any wires which the box has been rubbing on, and tape it up with somehitng like electrical tape.

ok il point that out to them, do you mean tape the wire as in a single wire, or the bunch of them?
