Car tax online HELP!!!

if i tax my car online, can i drive my car legally without having the tax disk yet?? because it doesnt come for 3 days??

If you drove it and the cops stopped you they can check its taxed with the dvla

Yes it can be legally driven but you could be fined... as i said in the other one.

No, phoned someone from the DVLA and asked this, aparently there is a totally different offence which is not displaying you tax disc, so you wouldn't be driving without tax or insurance, but would be doing the above. Annoying i know.

P.s i'm not 100% sure if it is legally driveable. Can't see why not though, if the offence is not displaying it, surely if you have tax, which can be checked through police computer its ok.

Maybe they thought people wouldn't leave it untill the last day of the month but seen as though today is the 7th i think someones a bit late hence the question :rasp:

im always a week late. same with mot (3wks last year eek), always forget.

To do it online you need to apply a week or so before its due. You get a whole year/ 6 months to do it! lol.

And yes, is illegal to drive before it comes.
