Car very low - trolley jack help please!

Ive acquired some 15" rims and some slicks for trackdays, so I thought Id try the wheels out for size. They fit ok, but on 15"s the car is soooo low theres no way I could get the trolley jack under the sill!

What can I do??

I guess that would work - need to carry bits of wood around with me though, any other suggestions?

I do the same, but if you get hold of a renault 19 jack its better as its a bit more robust and bigger but it goes as small as the clio jack, its a bit longer tho

dad lifted up front (took weight off suspension) so i could get the trolly under, but its only a lil 1.4

when nobody around to lift up front i drive it onto blocks.

dont suspose that has helped u at all?

Low height trolley jack. Theres plenty of these slim jacks available.

Thats what i have to do normally get a couple of bricks and have to drive up on them cos you cant get a jack under my car LOL!

You need to get a racing jack. They have a roller or nothing on the leading edge and are purpose built for just your sort of situation. Usually far higher quality than the regular ones, as well as lighter.

The other solution is used by all the rally teams. Ramps to bring the car up before the jacks go under. The racing jack is the better bet in my book.

racing jack?

Racing jacks are speed lifts or single plane flat lifts with no hydraulics for sub 600kg cars.

Just get a low seat height Jack. You can get low seat 3 ton clarke jacks from Machine Mart and they will go under just about anything.

I got ramps for the front wheels, tenner from halfords.

Trouble with ramps are the front bumper splitter will normally get pulled off trying to get up em..

lmao, not exactly neons though are they! They sell good tools as well..

KDF i have a different bumper so maybe its different for me but my car is fine even when lowered the full 80mm which id expect is lower than whatever Mikes 172 is on 15s. And anyway, for a tenner, worth having anyway?
