Car wont start

Woke up this morning, central locking would not work so had to go through the passenger door. Got inside tried to turn the engine over and nothing

Stop light comes up on the dash and the gear change symboly comes on and off, Any ideas what it could be??

does the immobiliser light blink any different to how it normally does?

checked fuses...? including fuses next the battery

if not... it could be a faulty key

Checked the fuses all good, at first thought battery, but was waiting on a call back from mate with a set of leads. Ended up going to buy a set and bobs your uncle!
Nothing was left on so am guessing battery is on the way out!
