CARBON BONNET OPINIONS PLEASE

  renault clio
I have ordered a carbon bonnet for my Clio 182 in racing blue. I know they do not work out much lighter etc etc but what are peoples opinions on them?

I personally think they look quality and wont be effected/offended by peoples opinions but just want to know the general opinions from other members.

I had to buy a bonnet of some sort inaway as I followed a builders truck home from work one day and a piece of wood flew off the back and fucked my bonnet and smashed my windscreen!!!

Cheers

I like them on the right car. Get your wheels done in a very dark graphite grey and it'll look smart.

Yeah thinking about wheels. Just had the trophy ones fitted. I like the bonnet so I suppose that's all that counts, but just hate the thought of me thinking it's okay and everyone else thinking it's GASH!!!

I always worry that a carbon bonnet just looks like an unpainted replacement :dapprove: but will be nice to see one on a RB for a change! :)

reckon it would look mint on a RB 182! go for it

wish more peeps were like you!!!

I agree too it will look cool, I have toyed with the idea but my bonnet is alloy so already light I cant justify the money just for the look. Although I did think about stripping and polishing the alloy then laquering it, bit to blingy though I imagine.

The best part is they are an interchangable part so you can easily remove and sell in the future.
Having a knackered bonnet is a good excuse to do it and just bide your time and pick up a second hand original bonnet to put back on when you sell the car, then flog the carbon one on here!
