Whats a realistic price for a full replacment carbon front bumper for the 172/182 ?
Just buying it at a retail price is what i was thinking, leaving the moulds to them.
Aye but I think what Fred means, is that if you were just requesting a one off copy, they'd be looking to make all their money back in labour from you. As soon as you start using the mould, it's much cheaper and the cost is divided greatly with each one made.
But how many people want carbon bumpers which are originally plastic, giving you not much more than a couple of kg saving, albeit looking great (if the company is any good at what they do) and the risk of a little scrape being an expensive replacement?
Have a look here, not Carbon but lightweight!

Remember the market fella. Clio 172's are hardly F1 territory so race teams won't be looking for carbon body parts especially as most cups use 197s now, remember they're already plastic. Carbon doors, bonnet and boot would be more worthwhile.
tbh i was thinkin that but hey it would look cool as f**k
I was quoted that the bonnet was a 3rd lighter??
A 3rd of what though lol!
If it's 9kg to start with, that's a saving of 6kg for £400+. Worth it?
