I have noticed a tapping in the engine bay, that has been gradually getting louder. It only does it once warm, and after about a minute of idling. I have done some searching on here and found out that it was most likely the carbon canister, so I got the bumper off and had a bit of a look with Jon.G. Pretty much straight away it was clear where the noise was coming from, and when you put your hand on it, you can feel it tapping quite hard, see the video for the noise:
Anyway I had read that you can take them off and it will be fine, so we unplugged the hoses and the electrical clip to see how the car would run, one of the hoses was sucking air so we bunged it up, almost immediatly the car cut out, when trying to restart it it would start, then cut out on idle. So we removed the bung and put it all back together and it's fine now, just still tapping.
My questions are:

My questions are:
- What causes the tapping? More out of general interest tbh!
- Is there a fix?
- Should I just buy a new one, and if so does it come with the top connecter piece, where the electrical point is?
