You need to reconnect the solenoid, then tie it out of the way, as per thread by the sounds of it?

Yep. Mine has done twice! Llambda went first time, new one in and it went off and second time it came on was when 2 coils went and it was throwing loads of un-burnt fuel into the exhaust!

Hmm, i do have a problem with either my coils or throttle body also, so maybe with teh thing in the engine light would go off when thats fixed.

What do faulty coils sound like? throttle seems to get stuck and burble like a scooby at times. Pretty annoying. It then unsticks itself after a bit. Does it sometimes more than others. TB was cleaned out about a month ago.

172's use a coilpack and 4 HT leads whereas the 1.4/6's use inidividual coils for each cylinder. When they go you lose all power and it sounds like a scooby thats fucked!
FBW throttle should'nt 'stick'. You your revs just stay at an RPM without touching the throttle? When it burbles does it drive the same or seem slow?
